My First Houston Dynamo Match!

The Houston Dynamo scored a 2-1 victory over the New England Revolution Wednesday October 2nd in Houston!

Major highlights during this match include midfielder Júnior Moreno making his debut during the 77th minute, and Ezequiel Ponce giving Houston a lead in the 50th minute with a right-footed screamer from outside of the box. The latter play was set up by midfielder Adalberto “Coco” Carrasquilla ending the night with two assists and five chances.

Houston snagged their spot in the Audi 2024 MLS Cup Playoffs, making it the first time the Dynamo have qualified for the postseason in consecutive years since 2013.

Given these accomplishments, I’m not sure how, especially as a native Houstonian, I waited this long to attend a Houston Dynamo game, but I’m glad I finally did! The vibe in the stadium was electric! Even better, it was Dollar-Dog Wednesday, and you bet I got my fill on those delicious hot dogs!

I’m going to keep the Dynamo on my radar along with my other beloved hometown teams this season. Looking good Houston!
